How to check an essay for AI?

Student essays, research papers, and theses have become the primary domain for neural networks. Standard plagiarism checkers often fail because ChatGPT generates formally unique text from scratch.

We help you see the "synthetics": perfect but hollow argumentation, encyclopedic staleness, and the absence of personal experience.

Please note: Use the detector results as a starting point for a discussion with the student, not as a direct basis for a failing grade. Algorithms sometimes trigger false positives on dry texts written strictly to academic standards.

From Uniqueness to Authorship

Previously, it was simple: copied text was easily caught. Standard plagiarism checkers found matches, and the author rewrote it. Now, AI generates "unique" text in 30 seconds. Formally, it's written from scratch. In reality, it's unreadable plastic.

That's why classic anti-plagiarism is being replaced by Text Forensics. As a reliable AI checker, we determine not just the match percentage, but the very nature of the content creation.

4 Types of Authorship

  • Human Author: A living voice, emotions, imperfect rhythm, and personal memories are present.
  • Editorial Text: Dry, verified document or reference article. Confirmed by finding the source online.
  • AI Generated: Machine "water", sterile structure, no factual noise.
  • Hybrid Text: AI framework with visible seams from human editing or splicing.

Why is this necessary?

If you pay a copywriter, you pay for their mind, experience, and ability to think. Not for them to click a button in ChatGPT. Search engines already demote sites that massively use generated texts without added value.

In education, it's the same story. Teachers want an AI checker for essays to know — did the student think for themselves, or delegate the work to a neural network?

Frequently Asked Questions

Briefly about how we work, store data, and why you can trust us.

We combine fact-checking and stylometry. First, the algorithm looks for text matches online—this prevents us from confusing real laws or Wikipedia articles with machine generation. Then, the neural network analyzes the style: it searches for specific algorithmic patterns (bureaucratese, "water", perfect symmetry) and, conversely, biological signs of a living author (motor typos, "ontological noise"). Yes. Anyone who promises 100% detection accuracy is lying. Neural networks are constantly evolving, and living people, overloaded with corporate rules, often begin to write in a "mechanical" language. Our tool is advisory in nature. We honestly discuss our blind spots and false positives in the Quality Assurance department.
Currently, we ask you to simply copy and paste the text into the verification window (or drag & drop a standard .txt file). Direct pasting strips away unnecessary metadata and hidden AI symbols that often remain in DOCX/Word documents. Our algorithm analyzes meanings, syntax, and stylistics, not hidden watermarks or formatting. Besides, pasting text is faster and more secure.
Yes. A simple prompt like "write like a human" or an order to add random typos won't help — the algorithm can recognize artificial scars on the text and slang mimicry. The only way to bypass the detector is deep manual editing. If you take an AI draft and completely rewrite it, embedding your real experience, the detector will output an Authorial Text status.
Your text is sent to our server — that is where the analysis runs, it cannot happen inside your browser. What we do not do: we don't keep your text as a stored document and we never use it to train anything. Technical logs keep the first 50 characters of a request and the resulting report, so that a failed check can be investigated. Your check history lives only in your browser (LocalStorage) and you can clear it at any time. Read more in the Privacy Policy.
