Human Author

Omission of obvious context

Lack of explanations for specific names or terms that are perceived by the author as basic.

Imitation (Caring assistant)

"While testing the localization, we found a bug. The Indian numeral system uses crores (ten million) and lakhs (one hundred thousand), which caused an error in our parser. We had to correct the logic."

Human (The curse of knowledge)

"Ira sent a bug report on the Indian locale yesterday. Numbers convert weirdly, crores and lakhs shift by one order during parsing. Had to rewrite the string assembly logic in pure JS."

Excessive AI empathy

Artificial intelligence suffers from excessive empathy towards the reader: it will almost always decipher a specific term or abbreviation so that the text is guaranteed to be understood by everyone.

A live author is subject to the "curse of knowledge". To them, it's obvious who Ira is (a QA colleague) and what crores and lakhs are (features of local math). They write while deep inside their own context, simply not noticing that an outside reader lacks these inputs.
