...As a result of the server crash, the database was corrupted, and the backups turned out to be broken. Data for the last three days was irretrievably lost...
"However, every crisis opens new opportunities for growth. This incident allowed us to learn important lessons, review our backup policy, and make the architecture even more reliable in the future!"
...In the end, the server was down for almost a day, the backups were overwritten on top of the broken files, we only managed to restore logs for the past week...
"Anyway, sent clients an apology email with a discount coupon. The admin who set up the cron job quit yesterday."
Prohibition on negativity
The role of the "Helpful Assistant" requires the machine to relieve tension at the end of any dialogue. It physically cannot leave the reader alone with hopelessness, failure, or an unresolved problem. Any article generated by AI will end with a catharsis, hope, or moral.
Humans write differently. If a project fails, if a database is deleted, and a domain gets banned by a search engine — the author simply states this fact. Life is not obliged to provide a moral at the end of every episode, and human texts reflect this lack of a happy ending.
