Stop-filter: Translation

Original in parentheses

Transliteration or duplication of foreign names, brands, and terms in Latin characters for safety.

Machine translation / Press release

"According to the executive director of the mobile communications division, Wang Yi (Wang Yi), the new device will be a real breakthrough."

Human (Habitat)

"The head of their mobile division, Wang Yi, stated that the new smartphone will tear up the market."

Localization traces

A neural network (if generating text "from its head") rarely writes the originals of names in parentheses. This is a classic professional habit of news translators (including automatic translators like DeepL/Google Translate tuned for media) so that the reader can find the original name.

A live blogger writing an authorial text would simply write the name in the native language directly. If you see an abundance of transliterations in parentheses in localized texts, it is most likely not AI copywriting, but a lazy translation of a foreign press release.
