Lack of metrics localization
Using foreign measurement systems (miles, pounds, fahrenheit) in localized texts without converting to common formats.
"The new gadget will be able to transmit data up to a distance of 5 miles. It is reported that the retail price will be around 400 dollars."
"The device will reach over bluetooth up to 8 kilometers. They promise a price tag around €350-400."
Lack of localization
A machine translator (or a careless AI rewriter) simply translates the words miles and dollars. It does not do the mathematical conversion into kilometers or local currency unless strictly asked to do so in the prompt.
A live editor writing for a local audience in Europe subconsciously understands that "5 miles" means nothing to the reader. They will necessarily translate it into the metric system, and indicate the price in a comprehensible currency. The presence of alien metrics is an ironclad sign of a raw translation.
